How to shut down a blank window without any buttons?

1) probably just click somewhere outside of the popup menu. or
2) possibly click in the lower right where the check mark and x mark usually are.
3) Otherwise the program may be frozen, so you may have to force-quit videoscribe.

This looks like a old beta version.
I would advise downloading and using an official version of VideoScribe.

Thank you @Mike Metcalf for answering my question, but I did force to shut down the program and thanks God it can be recovered after reopening it.
And @Joe Clarke could you please tell me where can I download the new version?

The newest version is available by clicking the "YOUR ACCOUNT" link at the bottom of this page.
(I believe that the ability to attach sound effects to individual elements is not available in the current version of videoscribe. It was only available in the old beta version that you currently have installed, but I believe that they plan to bring it back after some additional testing and modification in the future.)

Oh, really? Then I think I should not upgrade this because I need that effect right now. Thank you Mike.
