I create a graphic in Adobe Illustrator CC 2019 and I make some layers, invisible to for use in an optional image. I export the visible layers to SVG and import into VScribe.
VScribe traces over the vectors on the hidden layers.

Yes, delete all hidden layers before saving your SVG.
