Working Offline

Last updated: 12 September 2017

If you are a Pro subscriber, you can use VideoScribe desktop when you are not connected to the internet. This is called ‘offline mode’.

Please Note: When using VideoScribe in offline mode a number of features will not be available as these are accessed via the cloud:

  • Saving to your online directory
  • Publishing to YouTube, Facebook and sho.co
  • Images in online folders
  • Premium images
  • Sparkol music tracks
  • Most of the hand and pen options
  • Adding image and audio files via URL

To use offline mode you first need to log into VideoScribe while connected to the internet. When you do this you must make sure that the ‘Remember me?’ checkbox (A) has a tick in it. VideoScribe will now remember your credentials on this computer when you are offline.

After you have done this you will then be able to use offline mode. To use offline mode:

Step 1. Make sure that VideoScribe is completely closed.

Step 2. Disconnect from the internet by turning off your Wifi or disconnecting your ethernet cable.

Step 3. Open VideoScribe and log in.

You will see a message that says ‘You’re now in offline mode, enjoy!’. Click the tick (B) to continue.
